VII

Another bad poem, but the thought had to get out.

VII

A phrase came up yesterday.
"Only the good die young," they say.
But what if ready they're not?
Then what good is that lot?
Setting sail from that port
Only to have it cut short.
Then that question must arise
Only to place it before the world for size.
The phrase once more is sung,
"Only the good die young."
For if not good, passed by,
And why, why am I?
