Cool Beans

I say "Cool beans" a lot to my students. Somehow, it sounds better than, "OK?" I say it after instruction as a sort of question, and they reply back with "Cool beans." It seems to work and it's like my personal shtick because they think it's weird. To shake things up, I sometimes throw around ways to say "Cool beans" in a different language. Here are three (if anybody out there speaks Japanese, Spanish, or Italian, please let me know if I got the syntax right):

ikasu ingen

frijoles frios

fagioli freddi
